This precision stripper by Micro-Strip® is designed for use by field installers, connector and component manufacturers plus R&D labs. Many system integrators, contractors and manufacturers insist on its use because it's specifically designed for fiber optic stripping. Every component of the extremely accurate, patented, self-centering Micro-Strip system is manufactured to tolerances tighter than .0005". Lower stripping force means less stress on the fiber for higher quality splices. This tool requires less than a pound of peak force for stripping coated fiber. Use the fiber guide to assure that fiber is precisely positioned, properly stripped and not nicked or damaged. Stripping force is applied longitudinally with the fiber. The chance for harmful drag of stripped fiber against the blade is virtually eliminated, even with operator inattention or fatigue. Opposing blades self-align around fiber guide to assure concentric scoring and precision-stripped, nick-free fiber without cladding or core damage. Blades travel in a straight line for proper alignment. A strip length guide is calibrated in 1Ž16" increments for desired strip lengths.
For singlemode 125-µm fiber cladding with hard, tough or thick coating/buffer up to 250 mm. Includes cutter blade set. Warranty covers defects.
