The 4005-DPM Super Mate pluggable module is part of 3M TelComm’s 25 pair Modular Splicing System (MS2). This module is used for adding, removing, transferring and rearranging circuits without interrupting service. These changes can be made 25 pairs at a time without cutting or resplicing conductors into new modules. The 4005-DPM Super Mate can terminate 25 conductor pairs and plug to either a 4000-D Super Mini splicing module or to another Super Mate. The Super Mate accommodates 22-28 AWG (0.8-0.32 mm) solid copper conductors with PIC, pulp or paper insulation in the element’s upper insulation displacement contact. The element has a 90. twist so that the bottom sliding contact can be plugged onto a element in a Super Mini or another Super Mate. The 4005-DPM Super Mate pluggable module can be stacked up to 7 modules high.
