The C3B1S & C3B1FS standard series of 5 pin solid state protector modules are designed to provide superior transient and power fault protection for most standard telephone line applications. The characteristics of the solid state protector are far superior to gas tube technology in speed of response to faults and are virtually immune to overshoot, aging, and failure due to repeated tripping within rated limits. The C4B1S & C4B1FS with PTC (positive temperature coefficient) versions include fast acting, self resetting current limiters. These are especially useful where extra protection against "sneak current" type faults is desirable.
