INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY TESTMASTER 108 NEW For high volume testing of non working telephone cable pairs. The Testmaster Splicers's Test Set Model 108 is a rapid pair tester that is particularly well suited for testing large numbers of non-working pairs such as newly constructed cables. The Testmaster excels at conformance testing and will detect open, shorts, grounds, crosses, and splits with a single ended test. No connection is needed at the far end. Cables can be tested as they are spliced to modular connectors. Splicing mistakes and bad pairs are found immediately, not when the cable is placed into service.
Automatic Testing- Scans a 25 pair group in as little as 3.5 seconds indicating defects such as shorts, grounds, opens, crosses, and splits. Defective pairs are indicated by an audible alarm and LED.
Tests Non-working Pairs As They Are Spliced- Use the 108 at the Main Distribution Frame, a cross connect box, or connect to one or two cutter pressers to test cables as they are spliced.
Stores Two Different Cable Capacitance Values- Useful for testing a cable both before and after it is spliced.
Tests Defective Cable Pairs- If pairs are found to be defective using the SCAN function, they may be analyzed further using the TEST, DM, or Cap functions.
Locates Faults- A large digital meter may be used to locate opens or shorts (DM function). Reads either length or distance-to-short.
Sends Tone- 577 Hz tone may be sent either simplex, which is not audible to subscribers, or grounded to identify reversals.
Talk Function- A powerful built in talk circuit provides communication with either a headset or handset.
