AFL TELECOMMUNICATIONS/NOYES OFI400HP FIBER IDENTIFIER The OFI-400HP is designed for use where high levels of optical power are present. This includes fibers carrying a single high-power signal, CWDM or DWDM signals with high total power levels, amplified optical signals, or pump lasers associated with EDFA or Raman amplifiers. When display reaches +23 dBm (200 mW) or greater, the OFI-400HP will display “High” warning indication.
The AFL TELECOMMUNICATIONS OFI-400HP Optical Fiber Identifier is used to identify fibers without disrupting service. High power fiber identifier will detect power signal levels +33 to -40 dBm (@1550nm, 3mm fiber). A build-in power meter is calibrated for 3mm jacketed SMF-28. A 2-position plunger allows it to be used with 2mm jacketed fiber as well. Optical fiber identifier will detect traffic, CW and 270, 330, 1000 and 2000Hz tones. If power levels rise above 23dBm a warning message illuminates the LDC display. Includes a user guide, batteries & carry case.
