INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY THROWMASTER 105 CABLE TRANSFER TEST SET REPAIRED For testing and transfer of both metallic and pair gain telephone cable pairs. The Throwmaster Cable Test Set Model 105 is the primary instrument used by telephone company technicians for testing and transfer operations on both metallic and pair gain types of service. In most cases, service may be transferred from one pair of wires to another without interruption. All functions normally associated with transfer operations are provided by the 105.
Multipurpose Test Set
The Throwmaster 105 provides the following capabilities:
Test non-working pairs for all DC defects including opens, shorts, crosses, grounds, splits, balance and high resistance faults. Tests working pairs for busy status, polarity and voltage. Measures DC voltage from 0 to 100 volts. Measures resistance from 0 to 10 megohms. Locates opens, shorts, grounds, crosses, and splits. Supplies talk battery and signaling functions for technician communication. Sends simplex 577 Hz tone for pair identification which is silent to subscribers. Performs cut-closed cable transfers or section throws on working cables without service interruption. Metallic to Metallic Transfer: Performs cut closed transfers on metallic circuits and has all the capabilities of the 102A. Metallic to Universal Pair Gain Transfer Metallic to Integrated Pair Gain Transfer Conversions Available
Two previous models of Throwmaster -- Model 102 and Model 102A -- may be converted to the Model 105. This is a complete conversion using all new circuitry, and the result is a like new instrument having all the capabilities of a new Model 105.
