The Optix 3X 900um mechanical connector is a simple two piece design and features a fast and consistent field termination in less than two minutes. These connectors are reusable up to three opportunities avoiding costly scrapped connectors on "failed" connections. Our connectors use Corning fiber and are compliant to TIA/EIA 604-3. They are available in LC, SC, and ST styles and are designed to be spliced with 900um or 250um single strand tight buffer or loose tube cable. This connector simple termination allows for a reliable termination in field applications

PROCEDURE FOR INSTALLATION
-SC Connectors: Mark 20mm and 38mm from the end of the cable -LC Connectors: Mark 20mm and 40mm from the end of the cable -Strip insulation and acrylate coating to 20mm -Cleave fiber to 10mm -Strip insulation to second mark -Take out the black jig on the connector on the opposite side of the window -Insert fiber into connector using guide rails until fiber "bends" -Press the window to engage mechanical connection -Screw on the boot
